This coconut cup descends into the midnight zone. Inspired by the viral anglerfish footage that captivated the world, From the Deep captures the moment the abyss reaches toward the surface. A single anglerfish ascends through the darkness, its lure blazing, drawn toward the shimmering blue synthetic opal waves inlaid at the cup’s rim — each one catching light like the surface of the ocean seen from below.
Beneath it, the deep sea unfolds. Vampire squid drift in the black water. An oarfish stretches through the dark like a silver ribbon. A goblin shark lurks at the edge of sight. Bigfin squid hover, otherworldly. A dragon eel coils from the shadows. Deep black paint surrounds them all, pulling them out of nothing — exactly where they belong.
Leave the cup in sunlight, and watch it come alive after dark. Select creatures are painted with glow-in-the-dark pigment, charging in the light to glow long after the room goes dark.
Sealed in food-safe ArtResin epoxy. “From the Deep” and the Painted Coyote Creations mark are carved into the base.
