Two coyote atlas vertebrae, hand-carved into the top and bottom wings of a butterfly, come together with black-outlined detailing and a shimmery topcoat for an otherworldly finish. The wings are joined with gold-coated brass wire and hung from chain — the first in an ongoing “Vertifly” series exploring real bone shaped into insect forms.
