The second piece in the Vertifly series. Two coyote atlas vertebrae, hand-carved to suggest the upper and lower wings of a swallowtail butterfly, are painted with black-on-bone detail to trace the signature pointed lower wings and vein patterns. A shimmer topcoat brings out the contrast. Joined with wire and hung from chain at 8″. Vertifly is an ongoing series combining hand-carved vertebrae with insect and arachnid forms — each piece is one of a kind.
Decorative hanging piece — not a toy. Contains hand-carved genuine coyote vertebrae with natural bone edges, suspended on wire and chain. Hang from a secure hook rated for the object’s weight. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Inspect wire connections periodically for wear.
